Independence Day

Happy Independence Day!

Mark here wishing you and your family a safe and happy Independence Day!

In observation of the past week, I have had the pleasure to work with and meet some fantastic people.

From the folks that ran into me at local networking groups, to the eccentric cat painter at the Conch Republic who’s refreshing vision on life brightened my day, to the seasoned business warriors that taught me to embrace change in a changing world. Also to the wonderful day I had with my family who watched the Rays last Sunday snag some Marlins preceding the destruction of some CGI Decepticons in the Transformer Movie. All of which is not possible in a vast majority of the world.

I will always be grateful that my family decided to immigrate to this great country back in ’89. It has been hard work but we were never promised an easy path. No handouts, or bailouts just the promise of a better life.

So, before we continue with the usual July 4th festivities of Bar-B-Queing, sparklers, sun tan lotion, and fireworks; thank a soldier for protecting this country, and pause for a moment to give thanks for the great minds, sacrifice, and leaders that has brought this country to where it is today. Who knows what the future has in store for you or me or where we are going politically or otherwise. However, what I do know a small group of men and women braved the tyrannical oppressors and ratified their independence on July 4th, 1776 for the promise of a better life.

Kick back, relax, and enjoy your weekend. Because next week you further cement your legacy, or start on the road to build a new one!

Remember, we all live in a nation where anything is possible and the only thing that stops us from here to there is you.

Talk soon,
Mark
